Definitely similar to the salon product but definitely can sense the formaldehyde in the keratin. Anytime I have had it done and now use, I have an allergic reaction so a room with lots of ventilation and a powerful fan should help. Please wear a mask and gloves. It was easier to have someone else to do it because I had start and stop several times. I could sense the chemical throughout the entire time so be careful and blow dry your hair after applying the keratin to the back. For some reason having my hair in my face made me react more. I had my keratin done about 4 month ago and noticed my roots needed to be redone. African American with loose curly hair . It’s definitely a process but worth it. Next time I am in New York I might have it done there instead lol but while living in Texas this might have to do. Hopefully I’ll get better with time. ?? this is my only alternative to a perm so I’ll take it.
